This small initial gathering of seven voices began as an intimate acapella group. From those humble origins The Gúnas have flourished into a successful and motivated musical ensemble and has become widely recognised as an important contributor to the musical and cultural life of the Killaloe, Clare and Limerick areas. The choir have also been successful at choral festivals, achieving 2nd place in Navan Choral Festival and most recently awarded 1st place in the Female choir category of Ennis Choral Festival.

The Gúnas have come to share a deep connection between their repertoire and their audiences through the driving vision of musical director Rhoda Clery.
