Drummer Patrick Lynch and friends present a programme of rarely performed arrangements from the West Coast/Cool Jazz Era. Music from the iconic Art Pepper Plus Eleven album makes up over half the concert while pieces arranged for Mel Tormé, Ella Fitzgerald and Astrud Gilberto complete the set. This 13-piece ensemble showcases the classical chamber style that was brought to bop jazz during the fifties/sixties. Featured on the night are Daisy Ní Ruaidh (vocals) and Liam O’Brien (alto sax).
