Cantemus Rheingau! is a 25-member, mixed voice, auditioned choir with an extended background in choral singing. Currently in the fourth year of singing together, for the singers it’s all about sharing and spreading the joy of choral music.

The word “Rheingau” in the choir’s name relates to the picturesque landscape along the Rhine river in the middle of Germany – famous not only for its beauty, numerous castles and palaces, but also for the world-renowned Rheingau Riesling wine.

Tugann an réimse leathan atá ag an gcór, síos trí na glúinte sinn, le ceol eaglasta agus ceol saolta, ceol clasaiceach, ceol na linne seo agus gach aon saghas ceoil idir eatharta.  Tá éagsúlacht ag baint leis na ceolchoirmeacha, idir cinn beaga príobháideacha go dtí ceolchoirmeacha móra le ceolfhoireann agus na céadta lucht féachanna ag freastal orthu.

The choirs’ director, Manuel Pschorn is currently pursuing a masters degree in church music at Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts with a focus on organ and choral conducting. He holds the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship and was awarded the Richard-Wagner-Association International e.V. scholarship in 2024. He has been honoured with numerous awards and prizes for his organ playing. Most recently, he won the Hermann Schroeder Prize 2024 at the Trier International Organ Competition.
